Interview
How would you describe your style?I try really hard not to have one.
What are your main sources of inspiration (artists, graphic designers, etc.)?Elisabeth Arkhipoff.
What can you tell us about the work on display at ArtLigue? It’s inspired by the gang of biker-clowns featured in Katsuhiro Otomo’s animated film Akira.
What was the creative process for these works? Is it consistent with your usual approach?Reflection and formalization, which is how I usually work.
Do you use different creative methods depending on the nature of the project (artistic, commission, experimental)?I don’t really make any difference, but I prefer situations of commissions and exchanges.
What is your view on graphic design today?Benevolent.
Do you believe there is a boundary between visual arts and graphic design? If so, where would you place it?This is not the first time I’ve been asked - I really don’t know what to answer any more.
Should graphic design be included in the arts, or does it already belong there? It belongs there.
